Over 200 Children
Fingerprinted and Over 400 Child Identity Kits Given
out at KIDZ WORLD EXPO MAY 10, 2008
Cape Coral, FL. – May 13,
2008 – United IPS and their partner, Island
Construction, worked with the Lee County Sheriff
department to fingerprint over 200 children and
handout over 400 child identity kits at the Kidz
World Expo which was held on Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Staffing two tables, 8
volunteers including 4 from the Lee County Sheriff's
VOICE unit and two from United IPS and two from
Island Construction worked continuously from 10am to
4pm providing fingerprinting and assistance with the
child identity kits.
The current kit that is
provided by United IPS is one that includes all of
the elements as recommended by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation for an identity kit. Space is provided
to capture details about the child's physical
characteristics including capturing all digits of
both hands with prints, a dental layout for the
child's dentist to complete, basic medical data
(blood type, etc.), front and rear view images to
identify birth marks and other related but notable
physical blemishes, and a place to attach hair for
DNA analysis.
United IPS intends to provide
the kits at events throughout the year. Island
Construction can provide individual kits at their
